1. My Childhood
As a little girl, I always had my mom there with me as I was growing up. She was my protector and best friend.
When I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, I thought I want my kids to have someone like I did.
I wanted to be there for good times and bad.
I feel lucky that I have been able to be a work-from-home mom since 2020.
It hasn’t always been easy, and I don’t know where life will take me moving forward, but I am beyond grateful for all the time I have been able to spend at home with my daughter.
2. My Family
I want to be there for my elderly mom as much as possible, spend time with her, and take her to her appointments.
Even though I live pretty far away from her, I love that I can still rearrange my work schedule to be able to take her.
I want to be there for my husband whenever he needs me, and I want to take some of the financial burdens off of him.
He currently loves that he can work out whenever he wants because I don’t have a set schedule!
And again I’ll never get tired of saying this I WANT TO RAISE MY CHILDREN.
I currently love to take my daughter to storytime, go for walks, and take her to the park.
3. Money
When I say money I don’t mean to buy materialistic objects.
That’s never been me, I’m laughing thinking that the most money I’ve spent on a purse is $16!
I mean money for necessities. Working from home gives me the most potential to make more money.
Let’s say I need flexibility because my husband is the primary breadwinner, really the only way I can do this is by getting a part-time job near home, it’ll most likely be minimum wage.
I’ve worked too hard to settle for minimum wage again.
That may sound entitled, but I know my worth now! I’m not against it though, if I ever had to, I would do so in heartbeat for my family.
4. Flexibility
I love the flexibility of not having to have a schedule.
If I am up early, I can hop on the computer and work. If I can’t sleep at night, I can just hop on the computer and work.
I create a tentative schedule to ensure I get work done, but I like knowing I don’t have to work at those specific times.
I love that I can stop and be a mother to my kids whenever needed, or just do fun activities for them.
Stop here to feed them, change a diaper, or just play!
5. Learning
I thrive on learning, I’m always listening to podcasts and audiobooks. I have a thirst to learn.
I enjoy learning new clients’ systems, and their way of doing things.
I really love when they use platforms that I’ve never used before, and I get to learn the ins and outs of it!
I do love getting into routines with my clients, but I will also take every opportunity to learn!
